Cesc Fabregas’ Case for “Proper Passion”

Spanish professional footballer Cesc Fabregas has expressed his sentiments about the Chelsea and Arsenal clash back in the 2007 Carling Cup. The 33-year-old central midfielder admitted that he felt his performances were most challenging yet most motivating during feisty encounters.

The Blues’ 2-1 victory over the Gunners during the League Cup that took place 13 years ago was a very heated match people will remember. The notable advantage Jose Mourinho’s team had then was short-lived when Kolo Toure collided with Jon Mikel Obi. First on the scene was Frank Lampard and Fabregas himself prior to Chelsea’s blazing victory.

Fabregas was actually a part of Arsenal back in 2007 and had desires to join Chelsea which leaves the player a little more reminiscent of the intense time on Twitter. “I shouldn’t be saying this but moments like this sometimes make football even more special. “Proper passion for wanting to win even if it’s not always possible.” His tweet read.

The heated fight led to several charges made by the Football Association which Chelsea and Arsenal had to deal with for not being able to control the heated players during the brawl at Millennium Stadium.
